What to do when a conference with 150 thought leaders on fair fashion from all over the world is postponed? Convert it into a think tank community! Only a few days after the event about global garment supply chain transformation was supposed to taker place, we launched the Fair Fashion Think Tank app. Built in only 4 weeks.
In the invite-only app we present curated conversations: podcast that start lively discussions, a community with 100+ experts, a library of articles, likes, chats, DMs, etc. Opened by Dutch minister for foreign trade and development cooperation Sigrid Kaag.
The official release:
The coronavirus outbreak has an impact on all of us; the garment industry is no exception. Now more than ever, we need to think and talk about how the industry and the global supply chain is shaped and what needs to be changed. To make it sustainable, to make it fair. Therefore, Tuesday the 21st of April, we are launching a global garment supply chain digital think tank: the Fair Fashion Think Tank (FFTT).
The Fair Fashion Think Tank is an exclusive digital community of experts, who strive for a fair and sustainable global garment supply chain. The think tank is organised by the Strategic Partnership for Garment Supply Chain Transformation, consisting of Fair Wear Foundation, CNV Internationaal, Mondiaal FNV and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The SP aims to fundamentally change the system of the global garment supply chain and has been working together for several years now.
The exclusive Fair Fashion Think Tank will be accessible by invitees only. We are aiming for +/- 150 different representatives of stakeholders in de garment industry. The goal is to make an inventory of what steps need to be taken to fundamentally transform the industry towards a sustainable and fair future. Go to the app and connect with all your fellow fair fashion think tank experts. You can listen to podcasts, join the conversations and even chat with individual experts one on one.
